　　2008issuchacommonnumber,butmanyChinesewillgetexcitedwhentheymentionit.Howcanacommonnumberattractsuchastrangefascination?Theanswerissimpleandobvious:thetwenty-ninthOlympicGamewillbeheldinBeijingintheyear2008.Atthattime,thewholeworldwillfocustheirattentionsonBeijing.Asthehostess,Beijingwillshowherbeautytotheguestsfromallovertheworld.

　　TheBeijingOlympicGameswillbeaGreenOlympic,ahightechnologyOlympic,andapeople'sOlympic.Amongthem,aGreenOlympicisthemostimportantconcept.Itwillshowtheworldthedetermination,theability,andtheconfidenceoftheChinesepeopleandtheirgovernmenttosuccessfullyholdaGreenOlympic.Toachievesuchagoal,however,itneedsalotofhardwork.

　　Idon'tknowwhetheryou'venoticedthatsomestudentsdon'twanttowalktoschool;theirparentshavetodrivethemtoschooleveryday.Butnowadays,theairispollutedwithautomobileexhausts.Whatcanwedoaboutit?Rideonyourbiketoschoolandenjoyexercise!Itwillnotonlyhavesignificantbenefitsforyourhealth,butalsohelpimprovingourenvironment.Inaddition,ifyoudon'tdrivecars,youwillnotgotothecarwash.Thatwillsavelargeamountofwater.Ifeverybodydoessomething,therewillbeagreenBeijingandwewillhaveaGreenOlympic.

　　行动起来，为北京添彩

　　2008，一个再普通不过的数字，但是，一提到它，会让多少中国人热血沸腾！一个数字怎么会有如此大的魔力？答案是简单而神圣的，在这一年里，北京将举办第29届奥林匹克运动会，那时，世界的目光将齐聚北京，而北京，也将以主人的身份，展现她最美丽的风采！

　　2008，北京的奥运将是一届绿色的奥运、科技的奥运、人文的奥运。其中，"绿色奥运"是三个最重要的理念之一。这充分表现出我们要办好一届环保奥运的决心和信心！然而，要实现这一目标，我们要走的路还十分艰辛。

　　我想，作为一名北京的中学生，我们更有责任，也更有义务积极地投入到环保行动中。我们的一举手，一投足，都会给首都的市容环境带来影响。因此，我们要从我做起，从身边做起，从小事做起，努力为北京争光添彩。那么，怎样才能从小事做起呢？

　　其实生活中我们能做得也有很多。近年来沙尘暴肆虐北京，大家一定都有体会。过度放牧和采伐森林使土地沙漠化，虽然我们无力使所有退化土地重新成为绿洲，但至少我们可以在我们的学校植树，在我们的小区植树，如果人人都能行动起来，北京将成为绿色的北京，2008将成为绿色的奥运。

　　不知道同学们有没有这样的经历，自己由于懒惰不肯走路上学，于是天天让父母用汽车接送。可是现在北京汽车尾气已经严重污染了大气，难道我们应该视而不见吗？所以，停掉你家的汽车，蹬上自行车，让我们享受运动的快乐吧！

　　仔细想想，我们能为北京2008做的，还远远不止这些，我们虽然不能像一些科学家那样研究不污染的清洁能源，或是污水处理系统，也不能去制止所有工厂停止使用危险化学品或向天空排放废气，但我们可以节约每一滴水，保护每一片绿地，为环保尽一份微薄的力量。让2008年的北京，不论是在二环还是五环，都能看到湛蓝的天空和茵茵绿草。
